Reading the posts about the prices of cars in the US showed up the recent
jump in price of collectables in the UK - especially with regards to Jags
which had been rediculous.
Here's a copy of the price guide in last December's Popular Classics magazine
and remember that as it is now spring, prices of classic convertibles always
jump. I've only put in the prices of the machines that have been mentioned
most recently - if anybody is interested in how much they could get for
their machines on this side of the pond, e-mail me.

A Superb
A car in excellent condition with no major faults but not
concourse.
B Clean
A car that is mechanically and bodily sound with a current
MoT certificate and no major faults, though needing some
tidying and general restoration.
C Rough
a probable runner but one needing major work to bring it up
to MoT standard.
Note: MoT certificate must be obtained every year for a car over 5
years old (I think) for it to be allowed on the road. The test
checks stuff like brakes, lights, steering, suspension, general
condition of specific areas of the body ie. load-bearing sills
etc.
