The KAR123 really was a Lotus and the factory loved to take advantage
of the free advertising. To celebrate the recent aniversary of the
Prisoner series, Caterham produced a commerative version of the KAR.
They painted it the same colors, photographed it with the correct
registration and charged extra for it. I hear they sold quickly.
Chapman sold the rights to manufacture the Super Seven to Caterham
and the car is being made to this day. Only recently have they
changed the design from what it was originally. In the last year
they have changed the rear end to a De Dion and disc brakes. Thre
