The 2nd is definately the preferred method. If you do what the factory
did, and
the glue fails, the window glass can fall streight down and break. Not a
good thing
as they start at about $500.
With the 2nd method, the additional channel and the weld take the force and
not
the glue so the window will stay put a lot longer.
