I have never seen any evidence that any type of spark plug works better from
a performance standpoint. They all ignite the air-fuel mixture the same way.
One way they do differ though is in longevity based on the material the
electrodes are made from. Platinum plugs will last longer, but cost more.
They will also maintain the correct gap better since the electrodes don't
erode as quickly.
