splitfire plugs tend(ed) to be 1 or 2 heat ranges hotter than the factory
recommended plugs so they worked pretty good in worn out oil fouled smokers.
If your brick isn't one of these I wouldn't recommend using them, bricks
tend to run a bit on the warm side which can lead to detonation, using a
hotter plug can make this an even bigger problem. If you want an upgrade you
could try a platinum plug but I personally haven't seen any big difference
except for long life in new cars that are designed for platinum plugs, but
if you are running a msd or similar box with an extra hot coil they could be
worth the extra expense.
I used them in my old shop truck that ran on natural gas, I ran an extra hot
coil as CNG is hard to light, it's about 140 octane. they seemed to stand up
fine there.
