If rarity is the driving factor....consider a 76. there are only 34 in
existence, some 'purists' don't consider them real since they were completed
after the bankruptcy, but they were all completed at the facility by another
company that finished the final 75's and all the 76's. The bricklin is not a
real good investment so get what you like and don't worry about everyone
else. I have a 75 with a 500+ hp small block ford and a tremec 5 spedd trans
that will be painted street driver, an all acrylic 74 auto and a 76 with
only 443 original miles on it. My favorite by far is the 75 (still under
construction) I have more money tied up in the drive train in the 75 than in
the complete 76. since most cars make lousy investments get one you can
enjoy even if you are only planning to enjoy looking at it. as for rarity
equating value, it is one of the factors but the biggest factor by far is
demand. as an example the were more 2 dr V8 chevelles made than the rare 4dr
4cyl (I've only seem the one I owned as a kid) but the V8 2 dr's are tons
more valuable because of demand.
