One thing nobody has mentioned to lower the heat is what I did - I made 
the front louver panel functional - why wasn't this functional to begin 
with????   Anyway, I cut thin slots in three rows in each step to allow 
additional air to flow.   I didn't go all the way and left two columns 
of solid material to ensure it wouldn't be too flimsy.  It helped.  I 
think it looks better too.
