Seat belt switch

John,

     My '74 4 speed is original and does have the 'alarm' that goes one
continually until you 'clip/lock' the seat belt, however, does allow the car
to start.  Maybe the 4 speeds did not have this requirement to not allow the
car to start without it buckled?
