As I stated previously, I HAVE spoken directly with FlowMaster and they have
indeed confirmed the Series 80 Flowmaster is alive and well in the dual
crossflow configuration. I posted the pn in an earlier post. We had an
extensive conversation on the pro's and cons, and availability. But
experience has taught me that you never know for sure UNTIL you actually try
to order the item. I declined that step.

Sound is of course a matter of taste. The Series 80 is the most aggressive
sounding muffler they make.
As far as nothing sounding like a FlowMaster, well, every 16 yr old in an
old camaro or 'stang sounds just like it. You can peruse the internet's
numerous discussion boards on how these kids love when "everyone just stops
what they're doing and has to look at me" while coming down the street. I'm
serious. For me, the need for that type of attention has long subsided.
Plus the fact that I don't want get shot by any of my neighbors as I'm
pulling into my driveway at late hours! Plus the interior drone and buzz
at idle and the infamous 2k mark. But again, it is entirely subjective and
FlowMaster's distinctive sound and rumble will always find customers and
angry cops.

Steeda has gone with Bassani's for their upgraded Mustangs, which suggests
quality is not an issue. It's also nice to be able to build to order for
the same price as an off the shelf universal. The bottom line won't be
known until it's in, so until then...

FlowMaster, Walker/Dynomax, Borla, Gibson, etc., wayward distributor, and
flea ridden shop within the past week) #2821
