First, what is the scoop on buffing out the car. Does the acrylic fade
or is that oxidation and will buffing it bring back a more uniform
cantelope color? Also, what product and "grit" to use.
Second, what's the story with the rear shock mount breaking -- is that a
constant or nothing to worry about? Did it apply to all cars? Is it
exciting when it goes?
Third, any supplier of more or less original upholstery?
Fourth, anyone got any torque links or an old, beat up 74 carb that they
want to get rid of?
Fifth, has anyone put an electronic ignition on a 74? If so, what brand
and what results.
Sixth, just where is the backup light switch on the transmission or
whatever. When I had the clutch done, they stopped working. Four speed,
of course.
Just a passing comment on silicone brake fluid. I don't think it is
worth the bother. Of all the things that have gone wrong or made a
difference in all the cars that I have had, DOT 3 was never the issue.
Besides, there is something to be said for using what most other people
use. Now when Microsoft finally ports Word for my TI 99/4A computer all
would be right with the world. Thanks, Kim
