Good luck tracking it down. Intermittent ignition problems can be quite frustrating. I remember finding and fixing a problem when I was working at Bailey's, and it was quite by accident. It was one of Dr. Hoopes cars, a Healey. Ran fine 98% of the time, would sometimes sputter, miss, and stall out. I was fussing with it, had it idling smoothly, and while fussing with the carbs the screwdriver in one of my hands touched the wire between the coil and distributor. Instant stumble. Yep, car ran fine, wiggle that wire and it would quit. Fix was easy, just put together a new wire with good connectors on each end and no more problem. mjb. _______________________________________________ Bmcu@autox.team.net Donate: http://www.team.net/donate.html Archive: http://www.team.net/archive Unsubscribe/Manage: http://autox.team.net/mailman/options/bmcu/mharc@autox.team.net |
