1. multiply qty times $$ and create a new column for this. the equation
would be like =B1*C1
2. use the "fill down" feature by selecting the cells in this new column,
and pressing Ctrl-D , or select Fill->Down from the menu. this creates a
column of the subtotals.
3. create the grand total by a cell where you want the grand total to go,
type
=SUM(
then select all the cells you want to add up (all the cells in your new sub
total column). excel completes the sum equation.
