she was so good I was afraid to talk to her. I think she
also taught a class on car maintance in S.F.
I have a book called The Front-Wheel Driving
High-Performance Advantage. Her name is on the cover
with autocrossing above it. Inside the book she talks about
various techniques. There is even a photo showing her
left foot braking technique.
I really think it's silly when people talk about women in
motorsports. It's truly the one sport where they are
equal. Come on what difference could someone's sex
make when driving a car. I know I am opening up a
can of worms with that one : )

Here's a couple of things:
Mary Rice "Hates" front wheel drive cars. <G>
She lives in the Salinas area these days with her husband Dave
Pozzi. She still works for AAA and will often teach classes on auto
maintenance.
For a period of time we had a handbook we gave new students and it
was co-written by Mary Rice and Peter Godbois. Peter at the time was chief
driving instructor for the San Francisco Police Dept.
