For the many of you who, rightfully, asked why would anybody want a car to fail 
a smog test. Let me toss out this answer. The State of California, in it's 
wisdom has provided an incentive for owners of 1980s cars, (The state 
determines eligibility), whose cars fail their regular bi-annual smog test, to 
turn them in for crushing and get paid $1000 cash. The car has to fail. If 
James has another reason for her wanting to fail, I'd love to hear it! - Seth
