Have another question for you all..
My car(the FFR Cobra replica) weighs about 2200 wet no driver. As I stated
before about 400rwhp.
>From all your advice I am going to order Kumbo tires. I am pretty sure I am
going to run 17 inch wheels.(unless you all think I should run 16's).
I have heard that you can have too much tire(R compound) for the weight of the
car. I guess the idea, is if they are too wide, they do not work hard enough
and produce enough heat and therefore dont stick as they should...
I have found that I should be able to run 275 40 17 Kumbos on 17x9 rims on all
4 corners. They have about a 10.5 inch contact patch. and an 11 inch section
width.
Do you think that is too much tire for the weight of my car? Should I run the
275 size in the back and step down to a 225, that is almost 2"'s narrower, or
255's that are almost an inch narrower in the front.
Your opinions would be greatly appreciated :-)
Thanks again...
