For those of you who were aware of the PRO competition series
as sponsored by Car and Driver magazine, the "season" was
shortened for reorganization, and concluded at the Pontiac
Silverdome N of Detroit this past weekend.
Enter hotshoe and F125 regular Larry MacLeod in not one but two
borrowed WRX cars. Saturday was the "Qualifier", at which he
finished a strong second. Sunday took the points from previous
events and added them to the Main event....
Arranging for the car with better tires, belonging to Matthew "Smitty"
Smith, Lefty turned the tables and was tops for the day.
Appropriately, Smitty's Saturday lead made him the overall winner,
and kart driver Larry finished second via the points total. He gets a
Skip Barber driver's school, cash, and slaps on the back, instead of
the usual ones to the head.....

Way to pick the ride, Larry.... And Way to put it to good use!
