Today we mailed the January 2004 issue of North American Pylon.
        (we'll catch up yet! <G>)

Inside this issue is a proposal to change the way we classify cars for Solo
II Competition prepared by Ben Thatcher, our correspondent for all, things
in Atlanta, Georgia. We inlude some of the comments gathered by Ben when he
had some people test drive this vehicle on the Internet. Some like it; some
don't.
        Your thoughts will be welcome.

We cover the first national Tour of the year scheduled for Arizona
Motorsports Park in Litchfield Park, AZ, a Phoenix suburb. It almost didn't
happen. The Maricopa Board of Supes revoked the use permit during the week
prior. Arizona Region officialdowm persuaded Bob Bondurant to allow us to
play on his "skidpad" adjacent to Firebird Raceway in Chandler, AZ.
Chandler is the 'burb' just south of Phoenix. Firebird is on an Indian
reservation complete with casino. Pad is a good work to describe the site
size.
222 drivers tuned out. We have a lot of pictures. (and muddy shoes)

We salute a number of drivers from around the country to drive in the 2003
Solo II Nationals.

We cover 1) Two Beachcomber Corvette meets at Pungo in Virginia
Beach, VA.
                        2) Tidewater SCC's Winter Series 2 at Fentress
Field, VA.
                        3) Hawaii Region is missed by a Tornado.

New England awards its Stirling Moss Trophy to Matt Murray.

Plus columns by: -Pat Kelly about SEB committees, Ben Thatcher's
idea, and Rev-It-Up                                     for 2004;
                                        -Abner Perney idles around
Colorado;
                                        -Editor Kelly congratulates Arizona

                                        -Lorenzo the Scribe gets into
