SS is designed around the performance potential of the fastest target-market
car. If some version of the C6 is within the target market and is
significantly faster than the current cream of the SS crop, then it might
indeed trigger something. It's far too soon to tell.
Remember that HS is designed around the performance potential of the
slowest car in the target market. Unless one were to claim that the Mini
Cooper is not in the target market (one might claim that dedicated
autocrossers would prefer the S), nothing is likely to change there.
So without adding a class or redefining HS, if the C6 is significantly
faster then something's gotta give. It's just how it works.
