I'm putting together my schedule of subjects for the SportsCar Spotlight
feature for 2004.
Could use a few more good possibilities.
Looking for interesting people who also happen to be SCCA members. It can be
an unusual occupation, perhaps something significant in their personal
history, fame in a non-SCCA area, or ... who knows?
Suggesting someone because he's a nice guy, or a helluva racer, really is
not the criteria that makes it. Well, nice guy is good since who wants to
spotlight a jerk? But mostly we are looking for significant people -- such
as a pioneering heart surgeon, a south pole weatherman, a former Olympian, a
war planner, a former child actor, a race team engineer, a fashion designer,
a ship captain -- all of whom have been past subjects.
The floor is open for nominations. No guarantee of course, on anyone being
chosen -- or maybe being held for 2005.
Need name, region if known, and a little bit about why he/she is a good
candidate.
Please reply privately, not to the net. All suggestions confidential.
Thanks,
