OK, Guys! Knock it off. You all know as well as I do that there's
nothing effeminate about me. I'm a 54-year-old "dirty old man" who
still loves to love the ladies.
Actually, my original numbers WERE black on white (74) until Bob Tunnell
made me an official Old Fartz member back in 19xx. He assigned me Old
Fartz #37, and I decided then and there to change the numbers on my car
to correspond. When I did, I also decided to color those numbers in
some way that was totally different and yet would really stand out from
the white car.
As it turns out, and I've never told this story before except to Lorenzo
the Scribe, I picked that color scheme because of a gorgeous blonde who
showed up at one of our local events about the same time that I had
decided to change numbers. She was fawning all over my car and wearing
a sweater that was just about the same color as my numbers are now.
Turns out, she was some other monkey's monkey - so I decided real quick
not to monkey around - but that's neither here nor there. I liked the
color contrast so much that I decided to go with that color scheme for
my new numbers. I've since added Cooper S racing stripes in the same
color scheme on the bonnet (hood.) Isn't it amazing what we'll do
because of the women in our lives?!?!?!? 8<{)
Now you KNOW!!!
