The tow vehicle ('95 Ford Clubwagon) needs new tires for the comming season.
The problem is the OE tire (Goodyear Wrangler HT) has been discontinued by
Goodyear. I liked these very much and when the original tires wore out I
replaced them with the same tire (tire rack had a great deal on them). But
since the tire is now NLA I need to find a good replacedment.
After much searching, the BFG Commercial T/A, looks like exactly what I want.
A high load capcity, highway rib truck tire with a good
price/performance/durability ratio. This was exactly what the wrangler HT
was.
Does anybody have any knowledge or experience with this tire?
The only thing I use the van for is towing, primarily long distance
interstate. The rest of the time it sits in the driveway. So the tires will
see only summer highway use with a considerable load.
Any info would be appreciated.
