Cutting interior for strut bars/adjusting shocks

I don't see anything in the rulebook regarding modifying the interior in the
rear to fit strut bars or making a hole to be able to adjust the rear
shocks.  I know I've heard something about this before, but had no luck with
the rulebook and want to follow it to a T...
