You've got me beat by two years, Rocky, but I've got Phil beat by one.
Ran my first autox - more of a gymkhana! - in the summer of '67 on the
old Spartan-Atlantic lot in San Antonio driving my '64 Corvair. Ran a
couple more events with them that summer, then didn't do it again until
'76 when I ran a "celebrity" event (for us media types) in Wichita -
driving the RE's X-1/9. (They wouldn't let me run my '73 Dart Sport -
we all had to drive the same car!) Then I got away from it again until
I got into the club here in Shreveport in '85. I've been hooked ever
since!!! 8<{)
