I could buy that explanation... if I hadn't just seen "Timbersports" on
TV several times this weekend, again.
Someone still needs to explain to me, like I'm a six year old; how fat,
hairy guys standing stock still with ear-splitting saws chewing up
perfectly good logs for no good reason is significantly more "visually
interesting" than autocrossing, especially ProSolo. Okay, occasionally
they show fat, hairy guys using an axe.
Or is it just that the market for performance logging equipment is so
much larger than the automotive market?
The Chicago Region has shown a home-made, unedited solo video at their
Auto Show booth; JQP loved it. Every autocross site I've been to that has
JQP traffic nearby has them pulling over and/or gawking out the window to
the point that I worry more about accidents there than on the course.
