Well, I did the math using the simple sine formual and I
came out with 0.10 degrees == 0.04". So the rule of thumb
does seem to be about right.
Toe on my car for each wheel, front and rear, is 0.10 +/-
0.10 degrees. The shop printout was:
LF: +0.06" ==> +0.12 degrees or +0.15 degrees
RF: +0.10" ==> +0.20 degrees or +0.25 degrees
LR: -0.14" ==> -0.28 degrees or -0.35
RR: -0.10" ==> -0.20 degrees or -0.25
The first number is the 2:1 number; the second is based on
my calculation.
Looks like both rears are way out (negative instead of
positive) and the RF is right on the line or a little over.
Only the LF is within spec for both numbers.
Now, my question is, will any of this make a difference in
tire wear?
Thanks,
Pete
