Guys, According to Grassroots motorsports, to calculate toe, from inches to
degrees, you take the toe in inches/ diameter of tire ,in inches, and take
the inverse or arc tangent of this value and that equals the toe in degrees.
And yes Mark and Dick, your equation is right on unless you have very small
tires. So for most tires arund 24-25" diameters, 1/2" toe equals 1.0 degree
(approx.) For example, My hoosiers are 25.3" tall and I
have 1/4" toe. 1/4 equals 0.25 divided by 25.3 = 0.009881... And the Arc Tan
of 0.009881= 0.5661. So for this diameter tire 1/4 '' toe equals 0.56
degrees.
