The Central Kentucky Region of the Sports Car Club of America is pleased to
announce the first running of the Lexington Grand Prix, the eighth and final
round of the CenDiv Solo 2 Championship Series presented by Subaru.
This renewed event, with a new name and new venue, will be held at the
Applebee's Legends Baseball Stadium in Lexington, Kentucky, on October 20 and
21, 2001. Enter now, as we are restricted by available paddock space to the
first 150 entries, and they are filling fast!
We look forward to good weather in Kentucky in mid October. The leaves are
turning, and it will not be hot. Cool evenings, and Kentucky hospitality as
presented by the Central Kentucky Region cannot be beat. Your entry fee will
include a party on Saturday night at Sawyer's Restaurant in downtown
Lexington, an easy drive from the site. Great hamburgers and fixins' are part
of the entry. Plus some great videos and bench racing/lying about how fast
you were during the day's timed runs should make for a great evening.
The George Schweikle designed course will be bi-directional, promising five
40 to 50 second runs each day. Sound restrictions will be enforced to 98 db.
