Did you order a T-shirt, jacket, polo or other apparel at Nationals, to be
shipped to you?
Be patient. Mike's a little behind.
Mike Fuller, "the T-shirt guy" at Nationals, came home from that terrible
week and found some of his Bear Promotions employees working on a
fund-raiser idea -- A simple white T-shirt featuring the Statue of Liberty
superimposed on the American Flag. Above it says "United We Stand." Below,
"God Bless America!"
Selling these at a rock-bottom price of about $6.50 each, with all profit
going to the American Red Cross, Fuller expects he will raise more than
$100,000. A lot of buyers volunteer to pay more than the asking price. Any
extra, of course, goes into the Red Cross kitty also. He has already been to
New York once to hand them a check.
What this all means to those Nationals participants is, the apparel you
ordered that Mike promised to ship will be a little later than he otherwise
might have expected. His business has been absolutely inundated with these
flag shirts, to the point he needed volunteer help to come in to take
orders. It is about the only thing he has had time to print these past
couple of weeks. Other work that comes in, he begs off for a week or so.
Ordinarily, he would have gotten your orders out sooner. Of course,
ordinarily the situation would not have existed that he'd even need to; he
would have restocked at the event. I talked to him today and he wanted
everyone to know your orders are not forgotten, just a little lower on the
priority list at the moment.
