Ummm, no.
The WRX (manual tranny) has a viscous center differential. That means that
the power distribution is solely dependent on the traction at each end. If
there is no wheel slippage, then the power distribution is even.
You are correct that the handling would 'more' FWD compatible, but not for
forward-power-bias reasons. It's for even power distribution combined with
front-WEIGHT-bias reasons.
