IMHO, this is absurd. Either you have a Ladies' class or you don't.
If you want to have a novice class, make one. Don't base it on sex.
Personally, I do not think the idea of a novice class at Nationals makes a
heck of a lot of sense.
The basic thing that rankles some people about the existence of Ladies'
classes is that they do not offer equal opportunities to both sexes. We
junked them in the Twin Cities about thirty years ago.
Obviously, SCCA can do whatever they want with Nationals, and my opinion
does not mean a thing.
