Thanks for the info, I'll have to look that article up.  Did they mention a
fellow named Jumbo Goddard?
He was an eccentric (any other kind?) Brit who tried for a land speed
record in a Bentley in the 1960's.
(I think that was the time.  Ask Phil.)  He built a Bentley roadster using
body/chassis from a Speed Six
with a 1930's vintage 6 litre Bentley truck engine, turbocharged.  Went
something like 170 mph in it.
 WITH MECHANICAL BRAKES!  (Yikes!?!?!?!)  Cojones the size of cantaloupes,
too...
