   I've had P700Zs before.  They were great ( 20,000 street miles, an
autocross, a McKamey school, and 400 open track miles; sold the car and
they *still* had plenty of tread ), but they are not as sticky as even AVS
Intermediates.  I don't see any reason to cheap-out on tires, even if we
only spent $3K on the car.

   And I'm actually looking for 205/55/15, or possibly 205/50/15 and
225/50/15.

   I'm similarly torn, but I think the 712 is not sticky enough, and given
my previous V700 experience, they won't last even the short time I expect
in street use.  Also, with the Tire Rack; I want to support them, but I've
apparently sent them too much mail, because they ignore me now.  Either
that, or sales@tirerack.com is broken.

   I may just flip a coin, "Heads it's race tires." ;)
