That's just the type of statement I'd expect from someone who didn't attend
the event.
The event course did not hinge on everything being fast relative to speed.
The course was comprised mostly of technical and lower-speed maintenance
maneuvers that would favor smaller, less powerful vehicles with outstanding
handling characteristics, i.e. a Boxster. Look at the times GH Sharp ran in
his 217hp AS Boxster. They would have been very competitive with a large
part of SS. SS took a beating on the "fast" course in Meridian by Rob
Falkner in the BoxsterS, probably the best representation of that vehicle
considering he finished 2nd in SS at the "fast" 2000 Nat's.
