For those of you interested, the rules for the 2001 Canadian National
Autoslalom Championship (CNAC at the Red River Exhibition Grounds in
Winnipeg, Manitoba - Aug. 17-19 - 17th is test 'n tune only), 2001
Canadian Autoslalom - Western Championship (CAWC - at Race City
Motorsports Park in Calgary, Alberta - June 9/10), and 2001 Canadian
Autoslalom - Eastern Championship (CAEC - Sanair Speedway in/near
Montreal, Quebec - Aug. 30-Sept. 2) are now available on-line at:
http://CNAC2000.erc.bc.ca/
The changes are relatively minimal from last year except for the Mod
classes which were largely re-written and now more closely resemble the
SCCA rules with a little more freedom. They are in Adobe Acrobat format
and if you do not have the software there is a link to Adobe at the web
site to your very own free copy of it!
As before, the intention was to provide a set of rules that would
displace the least number of cars from their usual classes from the
various regions across Canada and the SCCA. The classes may be named
differently but in large part, I think the CNAC Board was surprisingly
successful in this regard. There are a few temporary concessions such
as the big brake allowance for Ontario which will be phased out for the
next year. It was deemed for solo II that most of these allowances were
minimal performance increases in any case.
If you have any questions, I'll be pleased to help you or redirect your
question.
Regards,
Reijo
