RE: NASCAR officials say Earnhardt's belt ripped

Since the initial announcement was that he died of "chest injuries", (the
skull fracture wasn't publicized until well after the 1st reports) my
thought was that he might of loosened his belts during the red flag from the
Tony Stewart mess, and not tightened them back up real well when things got
going again.

The NASCAR spin may be somewhere between truth and fiction.  Why are we
hearing about this today, almost a week after?  This would have been
immediately noticed.
