The final event of the 2000 BFGoodrich Team T/A SCCA SEDiv Solo2 Series will
be held at Turner Field (Atlanta Braves baseball stadium) in downtown
Atlanta, GA on November 11 & 12. Turner Field is located just off the
combined I-75/I-85 freeway just south of the I-20 interchange. Follow the
overhead Turner Field exit signs on the freeway.
The event site is an asphalt parking lot that is very easy on tires.
Typically the weather is very pleasant in Atlanta at this time of year.
Lunch will be provided free on-site to all entrants compliments of the
Evolution Performance Driving School. The SEDiv Solo2 Rookie Award program
will also be providied for first-year SCCA SEDiv Solo2 rookie drivers
compliments of Edwards & Edwards Consulting, the SEDiv website provider.
This will be a dual-program event for both the Atlanta Region and the SEDiv
Solo2 Series. Special accomodations have been made for locally-supported
classes; OSP, Rookie, etc., however these classes are eligible only for
regional trophies. The same thing applies to SCCA membership, non-SCCA
members will run for time-only in the SEDiv results and are not eligible for
SEDiv Series points, trophies, or awards, but are eligible for local class
points and trophies.
The event hotel is the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Stadium located at 795
Washington Street, Atlanta, GA about 1 block from Turner Field; (404)
774-7300. The event hotel parking lot will accomodate large trailer rigs.
We have a special rate of $59.95/night with 20 rooms on reserve, mention SCCA
when making your reservation. You can also opt to stay at any one of the
numerous hotels located outside the Atlanta perimeter; most are within 30
minutes of the site.
