IT cars are already allowed welded roll cages because they are much
safer. They should be allowed in SP. They should also be allowed in SS
and stock autocross classes too because safety concerns should outweigh
any additional performance advantage. As long as you restrict the number
of mounting points and do not allow people to tie the cage to the front
suspension points it should not matter that much.
Oh yeah, you should allow NASCAR-type side bars too. There goes the
driver's door...
