I don't know about dropping F125, it sure looks like fun ;-), but I do very
much agree about the destruction of the stock classes they have proposed. I
have written a couple e-mails to the SEB and have not heard anything back,
and I plan to write some snail mail also. All od the classes in question were
well subscribed with good diversity except for DS which was still large, but
dominated by Neons. ES had all but one trophy going to a Celica, but they
were vastly different Celicas, and just out of trophies there were a bunch of
very different cars that put up a good fight. GS had Acura, Honda, BMW,
Chevy, Audi and Mitsubishi all taking trophies. HS had Honda, BMW, Toyota,
and Volkswagon all taking trophies.
These classes combined to bring in a huge number of racers, why do we want to
mess with it? Sure the times were close, but the cars are by no means a
match. Maybe a few cars could move, but there still needs to be 4 classes for
this many cars. In open alone we are talkin 128 drivers this year, include
the ladies and you get another 24 to bring it to 152 drivers in these
classes. It sure does not look broken to me.
SS and AS drew a total of 94 open and 31 ladies, for 125 drivers total, and
it was good close competition there also. Where is the "problem"
