Close, but not quite Greg. You are right about the penalty, it was 1 sec and
it was applied to all 3 drivers of the car. But this penalty was soley for
the ignition timing, not the other stuff you stated....that stuff was what
allen got protested for. The protest against allen was dropped under teh
pretext that he fix the fender liner and the various other bits and pieces
before the second day of competition, which he did for the most part. The 1
sec penalty dropped Russ to 5th overall, not 8th. He picked up one spot
wednesday to finish in 4th. He didn't run fast enough to win regardless of
the protest. He will be in second if the appeal is won.
