Listen up all you regional folks. Create a class like Open Street
Prepared (OSP) where all your people who show up with kit cars,
bored/stroked/cammed motors, popular (but illegal) engine swaps,
suspension mods beyond Stock and Street prepared rules can run. Make 'em
run on DOT tires and have the cars registered for the street. Then let
'em play in their own class.
There is no rule that you can ONLY run SCCA national classes at the local
level. The astute regions look at their market and build special classes
that meet that market.
We average about 7-10 OSP entries per event here in Atlanta.
