RE: Heat cycle for the DOT Race tires, needed or not?

I recommend the heat-cycled Kumhos. 

I have run non-heat-cycled vs heat-cycled tires back-to-back at an
open-track test-and-tune.  No lap times, but the differences were obvious to
the butt-meter.  The heat-cycled tires are ready right now.  The
non-heat-cycled ones have a slippery feel for a lap or two, but once they
come in they feel great.  

I ran heat-cycled ones at a local hillclimb and Solo I within the last month
with superior results.
