While there may be a valid point or two somewhere in there, I don't think
this guy hasn't a clue what racing is about. And taking the position of
speaking for the Petty women is outrageous - no way he could know their
feelings. As young as he was, Adam was an adult and I'm sure went in with
full knowledge of the risks. He couldn't be in a racing family that big
without knowing the possibility of death. I don't know for sure, but I
wouldn't be surprised if the chance of getting killed in a car is much
higher driving to the track that on it. And he has the nerve to say auto
racing isn't a sport - wasn't it Hemmingway, certainly a better writer than
this hack, who called auto racing one of two or three true sports? Just
MHO.
