Back to the original topic for a minute...

I drove one last night for the heck of it.  Must agree with the previous
posts.  Handling seems great, but the engine is surprisingly loud, gutless,
and ugly-sounding until it gets to its cam switchover, at which point it
becomes loud, quick, and cool-sounding.  There's really nothing wrong with
that in principle, but the weird thing is that the switchover happens pretty
darn near 7000rpm, so the nirvana doesn't last very long.  You have to be
seriously flogging this thing to get any enjoyment out of it.  Kinda
disappointing.
