As was Shauna, John is featured in this weeks Sports Illustrated, "Faces in the
Crowd", page 39.

"Thomas, 34, a building-products manufacturer, drove his 1986 Honda Civic to a
2.376-second victory over Bart Merriam of Anna, Ohio, to earn a record seventh
straight E prepared title at the Solo Two Championships.  He was the overall
winner at the Pro Solo Championships in 1993."
