Oh please!!!!! Just look at the data before making generalization
statements like "perceived" top car. Look at the GS times compared to the
other classes this year, and then the last couple of years. The GS winning
times are WAY up. GS use to run about 0.5 behind DS on the average. It now
kills DS. Same great drivers in DS. Now with that look at how the top
Talon driver from last year is doing this year in other classes/cars.
Another data point, Ron and I are pretty matched drivers (the data for the
last couple of years will show this) and with Ron in the Type R has
decimated most of GS this year and every pax standing. Now granted Ron is
driving well, but I've also driven the Type R and a Talon, only once for
both, and in both those cases, I decimated the competition also. See any
trend here! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see just how fast the
Talon and Type R really are compared to the rest of the GS cars, let alone
DS cars.
