I have the porterfield R4-S pads in the front of my 1997 Civic. They are Carbon Kevlar. We have Performance Friction carbon metallic pads on a Stock Car (oval track racing) and we glow the rotors red hot every Saturday with those and they don't fade! They only problem with this is that they eat rotors and we have to constantly check the wheel bearings.. (but who is getting auto-x brakes that hot anyways) Back to the porterfield r4-s...They are a great street pad and I love them so far (except that they make a lot of dust). and I have heard good things about them on the track too... I'm going to my first auto-x on these pads on Saturday.. So I'll let you know how it goes. -"Crazy" Dave "Cokeswigga" Onate crzydave@san.rr.com http://sdcc17.ucsd.edu/~donate/ "Your parents are on the internet, but their VCR still blinks "12:00" -Cokeswigga |
