I have not run the G-Force, but I have run everything else. I will say that
the Kumhos are the stickiest tire out there. They are also a little slow in
response, and they feel heavy.
By slow response, I mean the sidewall is slow, not necessarily that the car is
going to be slower; you just have to anticipate tight spots and transitions
and turn in earlier. Then again, I do run 265's on an 8" rim, when it was
designed for a 9.5. They feel heavy partly because they are a few pounds
heavier than the competitors, but also because they grip better and are less
prone to tire spin. Since I run 265 kumhos, as opposed to 245's in the past,
they are taller than the competitors, too.
The only thing I feel like I give up with running the Kumhos this way is
really precise car placement, which was the trademark of the old R1. I think
this is more than made up for by the incredible grip and predictability of the
Kumhos. Price and longevity are added bonuses with the Kumhos.
You better plan on being aggressive to be fast, but then again, that is what
the fun is all about!
