Considering that most co-driver scenarios involve tires...I still think I
got
off cheap :)

Before I get accused of throwing on a funny looking blue bottle....Dave's
car
was about 6 degrees retarded from stock timing. Since he had recently
gotten
the car and hadn't driven any well sorted Mr2s in the past, he didn't know
that it
was down on power. I drove it and came back shaking my head. Twenty
minutes
with King Thompson's timing light (thanks King!) and it was a completely
different
car. It could now keep up with Eric Clements' car down the straight and it
was
spinning the inside rear wheel in the turns.

It's consistency....not the kind you like to have...but it IS consistency.
:)

Fort Myers was the closest for me, and it was 650 miles away. Last
year, I had Jax, but it was still 350 miles. I wonder if as this gets
bigger
and more toward the 'let's put this on TV' format that we might have
more events to choose from in the future.....
> To sum up; drove poorly, had fun, wish there were more.
I think that drove like a newbie is more like it...and there's nothing wrong
with that since you are. My advice to be quicker on the light (Dave's only
red light for the event followed that advice) didn't help any either.
It was a long drive, but it was a blast.....as is always the case, just as I
was getting used to the new car, I ran out of runs.
