New Kumho's

Hello,  I am new to the list and a novice autoxer.  I went to enough
events to see the need for autox tires and bought some kumho's.  My
novice question is, I have read about heat cycling and thought I would
put the tires on and drive a while on the highway and takes some harder
corners and then take the wheels off and leave them before the event.  Is
this right?  If not what do you recommend?  I am not driving on the race
wheels at all just events.
