One of the cool things about ProSolos, is that you can have another shot
at a racing if you make the challenges. To me, this IS the race. This is
where it gets fun.

The class leaders all advance and (in National Series) the next fastest
people, based on times from the class leaders, to fill a 32 car format,
will advance. Normally, you have to be within around 1.5 seconds of the
class leader to advance.

The challenge pits you up against cars from other classes, and you run
on your indexed times (I think based on the average right/left times
from the fastest car in your class) against that other driver's indexed
time. If you go faster than your index, you "break out" or reset the
index. This is good in that you are going fast, but you make you job a
little tougher. A redlight start and you are heading home. A cone in the
National Series and you MOST LIKELY are done..but never give up here,
the other guy may have coned or DNF'd.

So you have a field of 32, then 16, then 8, then 4, there is a 3rd place
run off, and then the final two cars. You get points based on leading
your class, winning your class, and how well you do relative to the
challenges. You run in a points race against everyone else in your
class, and against everyone else in the National Series.

This sudden death elimination is great stuff. It rewards excellence in
that you have to step it up and go faster, yet make no mistakes. It
rewards the consistently fast driver.

I find ProSolo to be a blast and I wish more drivers would check it out.

All my 48 cents.
